Countdown Timer - Time Zones

I just purchased the Countdown timer and am having an issue with the timezones. It most likely is a training issue rather than a problem with the coding.

Here's my dilema,

I'm personally in the Eastern time zone (GMT-5).
So I put in my local time but yet when other individuals look at the countdown the counter is off depending on their time zone. Our site handles request from all over the world.

What would be the proper way to handle this situation?

At present each time zone is seeing some different countdown value.
