Default News does not scroll after uploading

When I test the .swf locally in my Flash Player, it works fine. However, after uploading, the .swf appears but no text scrolls.

Please give me a link to your server, this should not happen, I am sure you are missing something small here.

I notice that the text only displays when the XML file exists in the same directory as the page that holds the .swf. In other words, if the .swf is on my /index.html page, the .swf can be located in a nested directory such as /images/ticker.swf but the xml can NOT be in a nested directory such as /scripts/data.xml. It's confusing how your source files are all loaded into the .fla and how it compiles.

Can this be changed?
