html tags don't work for me

Hello,
I've got problem with html tags in description text. When I try do modify text using tags like <b> ... </b> - it didn't work. I've got the same problem with links like this: Link to google com:

<a href="http://www.google.com/"><u>Link to google.com</u></a>

it didn't work.

Can you help me please?
