thumbs highlight

I have divided an image in 10 strips of 8 boxes each
I just wanna use the component for pannig an image an using some areas for clicking and linking to other page.
Every thing is ok except for 2 issues:
1- I´m haven a kind of highlight the thumbs and having the highlight as a trail while moving the cursor arround. How can I remove this?
2- I´m not reaching the bottom strip of 8 boxes when panning. How can I reach them?
