Help with Loading this File as an external SWF File.

Hello there,

I need help with your product. I recently purchased this not knowing how exactly this is all set up and after downloading the product, I realized that I don't know how to make this work as an external file.

I want to use the "small-right" example but I don't know how to make it into a working external swf file. Meaning...I looked at the only flash file that was included "index.fla" and there was no action script in there to load anything. I want my gallery to be an exact size in height which i know you can change on the xml file but i just don't know how to make the flash file work or interact with the xml file.

Can you PLEASE HELP ME OUT!! I need to get this project done ASAP!!!!

Hi, this has as code associated with it but it's not on frames. You will find the .as files in 1-Source\flashtory\vhg

The .xml file name can be changed from main.as on this line

xmlOb.load(_level0.xml == undefined ? "data.xml" : _level0.xml);


data.xml is the name of the loaded xml file, change this

Thank you for your reply, now what i can figure out is if I edit the xml file for my gallery then how do i pulled different galleries? Since, the main.as file only pulls the one xml file that you said can change. I would like to have 5 different galleries on one page and do not know how to do this with multiple galleries. Can you please help me out with this? I understood too everything else you had mentioned before.

So i figured out the linkage part in flash and need further help to why my galleries aren't work now. I need 6 galleries total and created 6 different image.as and main.as for each particular gallery..so basically main1.as...main6.ash and image1.as...image6.as and i also created 6 different xml files to go with these. I published these files and the swf doesn't bring up any errors at all and just shows nothing. So now I'm really confused to why this isn't working. Also where exactly does the xml file need to be in relation to the .as files?

Please help me out, I need to get this project done!
